Day 2

After a brilliant dinner at Little Italy we all had a wonderful nights sleep.

Everyone was told they needed to be at breakfast by 6 am as we had to be on our bus by 6.30. Seemed easy enough, except Jackson and Lachlan wandered down at 6.22 am - not a good start boys !!!!

So onto the bus we got and were soon dropped off at the airport. Now obviously our guide Jerome thought we were capable enough to catch our flight from Kota Kinabalu over to meet him at Sandakan - but he should have known better !

The following then unfolded:

• Brad thought he left his phone on the bus and only after he and Kat chased the bus up the street did he find it in his bag.

• Lou and Rhi both forgot their flight paperwork with Rhi later finding hers and me having to explain to the airport assistant that Lou had forgotten hers.

• we all went to the wrong departures section and then had to go to a whole other section on another floor!

• Sharkie lost his passport - later found in Ali's possession!

• Holly got on the plane only to find she had left her camera back in the airport - luckily Kat had grabbed it.

So, we haven't started off too well but we are all still laughing!

We have now arrived in Sandakan, met up with Jerome and are on a bus heading to visit the Orangutang Sanctuary.

It is very hot and humid!
