When I stop and pause, it is trying to understand the enormity of the groups commitment and effort, and I reckon u might now say the fund raising was the easy part.

Stay safe and \Lou I knew that would be u asleep on the ground

It is so nice to read your blog each night, and hear of your adventures. Congratulations to you all making it through your first day of trekking. You are all truly wonderful and inspiring people. and to beautiful Donna, I am so glad you didn't hurt yourself when you went down the hole. But....it really would have been disappointing if you go "down" at some point. Hope Sharky managed to get it, and the rescue on film!!

Love to you all xoxo Mum Fulmer xoxo
P S Big hugs to my baby, hope he is picking up after himself!!

Wow!!! Sounds like a tough day trekking!!! That was not the "Donna Down" I was expecting. Something a little less dramatic would have been fine. Glad you are OK.

Love Queen

oh my goodness, thank god you are all ok. Stay away from those holes! Imagine the paper work I would need to fill out if anyone got hurt. Donna, did you take some incident reports.....
Thinking of you all, a worried (but very proud of you all) Michelle.

Hi, really enjoying following the updates and knowing what my friend Kylie has been up to. Thought it was time for a joke of the day to lift your spirits:-
One day two men were trekking through the jungle and came across some Orangutan poo. One man said "what is that?", "They're special and very rare smart pills" said the other man. "Eat them and they will make you very smart". So the man ate them and said "Yuck, this just tastes like poo" he said. "See.." said the other man, "your'e already getting smarter"!

Stay safe everyone. I need Kylie to return in one piece because I don't have many friends ;)

Hi all! It's great reading the blog. However I feel a bit lazy. All I have been doing is sitting around putting finishing touches on a tiny human in my belly.
They say labour and birth is the most painful experience ever, but I'm thinking I might read the blog during the whole thing to imagine you all on that horrid track! At least birth doesn't take more than a day or two. I'll be really surprised if my legs get all cut up and hopefully I'll be indoors out of the burning sun, but I won't talk to soon... You know I do things a little differently to most!
You are all freaks, in the nicest sense of the word, choosing to put yourselves through this trek, but it's awfully admirable to put your own bodies on the line for CQs amazing kids. We all know the impact the work of CQ has on the kids for the rest of their lives. A silver lining of sorts.
Trek hard. Special hello to a familiar bare bum, Azza. It's hard work, all that camerawork you do. It was even difficult from an air conditioned car. You are amazing!
To the rest of you, keep those legs strong!
Al and Don, will let you know as soon as Baby is here!!
Love, strength and resilience to you all,
Kirby xo

Hi everyone, love the blog Donna, lucky the blisters are on your toes and not your fingertips .....or are they!!
You’re all doing an amazing job and I'm very lucky to know most of you. I was thinking last night about the guys I do know and what you would be feeling at this point..... It’s hard to imagine!!
Ali, thanks for the sleep in's, you're missed at the gym and in Newy....like all your trekking buddies.
Tried to post on hump day, but found it didn’t work from my IPhone.
Bring on the next blog. Keep smiling x

Wow what a wonderful experience it must have been to meet the ring lady. Looks like a pedicure may be needed upon your return. Keep up the good work, love to you all xx

Michelle Y said...

The weeing on blisters part, really does work - Matt tells me all the gymnasts do it. Too much info I know. Another remedy is tea bags wrapped over the blister and left over night. The tenon from the tea fixes it. So just pop down to the cnr shop and pick up some earl grey......
Thinking of you all, you are just amasing. Nearly there!!! Michelle
